Overview
Cold upwelling water meets white sand at Arraial do Cabo, and the result is visibility more like the Caribbean than the South Atlantic. You transfer out early, board a schooner and spend around four hours circling the peninsula: Prainhas do Pontal, Praia do Farol, the Blue Grotto, with snorkelling gear on board and stops long enough to actually swim. Back in Rio by evening.
